How much does a bespoke kitchen cost in Geneva?

How much does a bespoke kitchen cost in Geneva?

It is the first question we are asked — and it deserves an honest answer. Here is how the price of a bespoke kitchen is built, and why the lowest quote is rarely the best deal.

What makes the price of a kitchen

The price of a bespoke kitchen depends on four main items: the cabinetry and fronts (roughly half the budget), the worktop, the appliances and the installation. In Geneva, a well-designed mid-range project starts at around CHF 25,000; a high-end project with an island, natural stone and premium appliances usually sits between CHF 45,000 and CHF 90,000.

These figures can be intimidating. But a kitchen is lived in every day, for fifteen to twenty-five years — spread over its lifetime, the gap between a standard kitchen and the right kitchen is surprisingly small.

Where you should not cut corners

A beautiful front on a mediocre carcass is still a mediocre carcass.

More than twenty years of experience have taught us where quality is really decided: the carcasses and hardware (hinges and runners — what moves is what wears), the precision of the installation, and a worktop suited to how you actually cook rather than to passing trends.

Where you can arbitrate

Conversely, some elegant choices do not require the top of the range: a sober splashback, timeless tones, appliances selected around your real habits — not an accumulation of functions nobody uses.

Our method: the transparent quotation

At Art Ménager, every quotation details item by item what you are paying for, and why. No opaque packages, no surprises during the project. It is one of the reasons our clients have been recommending us since 2002.
